Maybe the signs were not that apparent for someone who was not looking for the right tell tale signs, hell I didnt think of it as im just living in the now like everyone else, not really expecting somone sent back n time from their present to our present, however, our understanding of space and time have come a bit of a ways since the fertile crescent times, anyways, I was lucky to even have had a second of the Professors time, as the Professors time is quite precious, which is funny because the Professor is actually living in different time periods, strings, lines? I dont know, im just like you, have a barely scrtaching the surface concept of what time is, if it exist or not, if it is real or not, or if it is just a nomenclature we came up for some gigantic missing variable, X, so variable X gets a name like TIME which then just seems to placate us for a few centuries until we ask questions like what is time, are laternate times possible, what happens when two (or more) times get criss crossed, und so weiter, und so fort? Its the evening before another semester, and damn, it couldnt have come to soon. Back in the life, after over a month of vacation. I grew up in chicago, lived there most of my 32 years, and now have lived since 2009 in Deutschland, Berlin nowadays,
in which I study medicine since 2011, a longtime goal, but sometimes to reach your goals, one has to leave their house,
Its painful to come back from Chicago. My dear friends and family live there, however, my adult life is here, my university is here, my wife is German, I want to expand our family here, but you leave your comfort zone, and often times a visit twice a year does not soothe those days of lonliness when you just want to go back to how things were at one point. Before I began my quest of medicine, I was a rather unhappy and unsatisfied person, as there was a giganti world out there, full of possibilities, alternate universes, "möglichkeit ohne Ende" and I wanted to experience it, to dive into it. Well, careful what you ask for, and now, one has to balance on one side, getting what they asked for, and on the other hand, missing what they took for granted. Until a teleporter is invented (maybe 500-1000 years), internet communication with my dear friends across the ocean will be the best way to communicate, as well as a annual visit.
Was however awesome to see Lightning Bolt, to bike all over Chicago, dive in the waters off the coast of Curaco,and now, back to the grindstone.
